Tell us a little about yourself, your profession, what you are up to right now, and what drives you to do what you do?
I'm Tessy Antony de Nassau, a Luxembourgish businesswoman and advocate for social change, currently residing in Zürich, Switzerland. My career spans governance and strategic oversight, with a strong focus on education, humanitarian efforts, and investments in innovative sectors such as robotics, AI, and microbiomes. Alongside my husband, I've been investing in late-stage companies, bringing a strategic vision to the table. I sit on executive and advisory boards for various companies and foundations, including the Elisabeth Foundation in Luxembourg. My work is driven by the desire to create impactful change and empower others, particularly women and children, through my work and advocacy.

Tell us about your current projects.

I am actively involved in several projects, including my role as a board member of the Elisabeth Foundation in Luxembourg, an organization with a rich tradition of over 350 years in social service. The foundation is dedicated to supporting various community sectors, including youth, education, and disability services, which aligns perfectly with my commitment to social betterment. Additionally, I have authored children's books, "Theodor and Grace Discover Luxembourg" and "Theodor und Grace entdecken Zürich," which have become cherished additions to over a thousand families' households. A significant milestone for these books was their inclusion as a distribution gift at the Hirslanden Clinic in Zurich for 400 families.

Who or what is your inspiration?

I draw inspiration from the resilience of the communities I serve and the powerful women who have paved the way for change. My time in the military, serving for five years, has also instilled in me a deep appreciation for discipline, teamwork, and the role of women in the armed forces. This experience fuels my advocacy for women's rights and awareness of the hardships faced by women and children due to war and domestic abuse.

What is it about the way you do what you do, that you feel might separate you from others?
My approach is characterized by a blend of strategic leadership and a genuine commitment to humanitarian values. I am a fierce advocate for placing women in senior positions based on their skills and intelligence, not just quotas. I've spoken on this topic at the World Economic Forum's Female Quotient launch and various media platforms, including podcasts and TV shows.

What's the most fun project you have done and why?

One of the most enjoyable projects was curating and hosting my own TV show on RTL in Luxembourg, which highlighted the unsung heroes of our society. It was one of the most-watched shows and allowed me to raise awareness about important social issues.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you while working on a project?
During my deployment in Kosovo with the Luxembourg Army, I encountered unexpected cultural challenges that taught me a lot about adaptability and resilience, shaping my perspective on international relations and cross-cultural communication.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen lately?

I've been fascinated by developments in integrative medicine and its intersections with traditional governance models, which has been both enlightening and thought-provoking.

What do you like doing in your spare time?

In my spare time, I am a devoted saxophone player, having completed music school with a merit in music composition by age 13. I enjoy a variety of sports, including swimming, skiing, and pilates, and have a passion for jazz music.I do also like --funny enough --to do absolutely nothing and enjoy the feeling of being bored. Does not happen a lot but when it does its magical.

What is the one item you can’t live without?

My nurosym device which helps me to balance my body. Other, my foot reflexology massage mashine which my husband got me for my birthday.

What’s your most annoying habit?

I tend to be a perfectionist, which can sometimes lead to spending too much time on details. I do also like to binch watch when all the kids are sleeping while eating Nutella and grizzini sticks.

What would you like to be remembered about you?

I'd like to be remembered as someone who dared to be different, who was willing to try new things and learn from failures, and who made a meaningful impact through her work in education and humanitarian efforts. Also, by some for my humour and positivity even in the darkest of moments.

Where are you in 5 years?

In five years, I envision that Human Highness, my fashion brand is booming and a household brand in many countries. Also, my baby books will have 20 more cities in its collection. I will also be on a few more executive boards.

What is next for you?

I'm focusing on growing Human Highness, exploring new opportunities in sustainable development and governance, and continuing my advocacy work to empower women and children globally.
