Lilias Ahmeira

Blowout meets Lilias at her clinic on Harley Street where she tells us all about her practice.

Lilas not only sees people on Harley Street, but also in Somerset, Florida, skype and zoom. Basically all over the world!

Her area of expertise is mitochondrial health and how to have a great quality of life. She tells us that “as we advance through the years the mitochondria gives us the power to regenerate and be the very best version of ourselves, and if they are not working correctly then everything else slides.”

Lilias works with lots of different people of all ages with all sorts of ailments from general practice, to autism, to long term chronic auto-immune disorders. It’s no secret that as we get older we generally feel more tired and lack lustre and loose our enthusiasm for life, Lilias’ aim in life is to totally change that!

We’ve already started on our batch of mitochondrial tablets and we’re loving the impressive energy effect they have!

-Tell us a bit more about yourself and the work you do, what makes you strive and what is important in Life?

-I have been a holistic practitioner for well over 20 years and for me it is not work, I absolutely love it. I am passionate about finding solutions for health issues and always strive to create a break through for previously unsolved cases. The most important thing for me is to always be learning, finding out what is new, what works and to remain ahead of the game.

-What was Quarantine Like for You:

-Quarantine was interesting, as a family we spent more quality time together than we have in years. With sons away at School and Uni, suddenly we had everyone together for a long time and everyone had to adapt and learn to live together in a different way, regarding working, schooling and entertainment. The glorious weather was a bonus, but I was also aware when talking to my clients those who did not live in the country and only had small flats, to moderate my conversation and not share the fact that I had easy access to countryside to walk in when they were holed up in a flat.

As a consequence of Covid 19 people are far more aware of their health, and that it is, their responsibility to look after themselves. So this is very much a change I would like to see maintained. People eating better, sleeping better and taking more responsibility for their life style choices.

-What’s the one item you have realised you can’t live without?

Probably seeing my hairdresser every six weeks! I was surprised just how much I need that!

-Whats the one item you have realised you actually don’t need or even want?

It would have to be the main stream news, in particular the BBC.

-What have you missed the most?

Seeing people, being able to hug and kiss and to be a normal human being. Having the freedom to move around and not feel like I am in a dictatorship.

-Where would you like to go, once the restrictions have lifted?

The first place I would like to go to is a romantic restaurant or an evening without the restrictions or social distancing, ordering in person and not via an app.

-Whats next?

What’s next for me is developing new strategies to assist people further, online, instead of in clinic, to prepare them so they are in the best possible physical and mental health.
