Milbanke Media made its first foray into the art fair scene with a successful debut at the StART KX 2024 Art Fair, held during Frieze Week at King’s Cross’s Town Hall by Bottaccio. The booth showcased works from artists Ru Knox, Paul Freud, and Emilia Salcedo, attracting an impressive turnout of collectors, media professionals, and art lovers.

Located on the Lower Ground Floor, the Milbanke Media booth was a key stop for attendees. The fair drew a sophisticated clientele, including members of Coutt’s Art Club and ONDA. Guests enjoyed Italian prosecco from Vinombra, skincare treats from The Ordinary, and mingled with influencers such as Charli Fisher, photographer Alistair Guy, and DJ Tolulah Adeyemi.

British artist Ru Knox's abstract works, including Caprice, Ascension, and Triptych, received high praise, particularly for their introspective nature.

Ru Knox, praised the evening, saying, “It was a predictably dynamic opening with the charismatic works and personas of Paul Freud and Emilia Salcedo, all curated and executed with Milbanke Media’s unique flair. It was very inspiring to see so many passionate people on the night.”

Paul Freud exhibited two pieces, Woman in Bath and Untitled, reflecting his signature textured technique.

Fine artist Emilia Salcedo made her debut with her oil painting Infinite and a series of ink works that explored celestial themes. Her work was favourably compared to the style of William Blake and Kim Poor.

Reflecting on Milbanke Media's debut, founder Christabel Milbanke said, “The art fair was, in many ways, an experiment – a test of our ability to shape narratives in real-time. We’ve learned invaluable lessons and have been thrilled by the positive response. We’re excited about the future, both in the UK and abroad.”
