Dr Marco Nicoloso
When he’s not being a doctor at one of London’s most highly recommended clinics, the renowned Dr Rita Rakus, Dr Marco Nicoloso likes to spend his free time cooking up a storm in the kitchen – in true Italian style. Fast becoming one of the most sought after cosmetic Dr’s as he perfects his technique on creating some of the most natural looking faces.
How did you start?
When I was younger I wanted to be a sport’s doctor but then when I started training I really found aesthetics interesting so I started to focus more on that and then when I moved to london, about 5 years ago, I did my first botox and filler course and then that was it for me. I’ve never looked back.
I finished a masters in aesthetic medicine and I’m now planning on doing one in dermatology.
What would you say is your USP and makes you stand ?
I’m all about being as natural as possible and enhancing your natural beauty rather than to alter it dramatically. So I take a very natural approach as I would rather the patient come back to me asking for more rather than not liking it.
You have an amazing set up here so I felt very safe when I arrived that you are taking all the right measures to help stop the spread of Covid but how has it affected the cosmetic industry?
At first it was terrible like everyone else as we had to close our doors but as soon as we opened we have been extremely busy. To make sure everyone is kept s safe as possible we are doing shifts and having more space between patients.
There has been a lot of talk about profhilo… how has this been a game changer in cosmetic procedures?
It’s amazing! You can do it from 28 as it’s not like injecting fillers so wont puff your face out if you over do it. You look fresh, natural, and you get a bit of collagen so a bit of plumping but it’s all about hydrating the skin to give you that youthful glow.
Whats the most exciting procedure you’ve come across in the last 12 months?
One of the machines we use here which is called, ULTRAcel, is very exciting. What with machines like this and the advancement in injectables and as well as all the injectables we can now create fantastic results with machines. In combination with something like Botox, Profhilo, PRP the results can be incredible.
What’s the future?
Better results with less invasive treatments which in turn means less downtime and just as good results.
If someone came to you and they could only afford one treatment what would it be?
Depends on the patient and what they needed. But, if I had to say one thing then I think Profhilo is a fantastic treatment to really complement and enhance your natural features for everyone.
