Do Supplements Really Work?

Do Supplements Really Work?

I’ve never been the type of person to take supplements.    I’ve wanted to and have a cupboard full of Ashwagandha, vitamin C, D, all different types of B’s and calcium so my intentions have been there and I’ve REALLY wanted to go in for the long hall but in all honesty I’ve never got past the first 5 days as I just don’t get on with taking tablets.

Fast forward to Lockdown part 1 and I decided to give it another go but this time thought I’d try supplements in a powder form.   After a LOT of research, I decided to try The Beauty Chef’s inner glow.

Having worked for more than 15 years in the natural medicine industry, Queensland-based founder Rhiona has an encyclopaedic knowledge of even the most obscure superfoods and is the person to ask if you don’t know your carotenoids from your curcuminoids.   What makes the Inner Beauty Glow stand out?  It’s a multitasking powder is so much more than a probiotic capsule or a multivitamin tablet.

“A multivitamin typically uses a range of synthetic vitamins and minerals in a tablet or capsule form with no food-based ingredients, whereas GLOW contains a range of Certified Organic fermented wholefoods such as mung beans, chickpeas, lentils and buckwheat, with probiotics and postbiotics. GLOW also contains sprouted quinoa—which contains activated B group vitamins—natural beta carotene sources and The Beauty Chef’s own probiotic strain, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GUT5Y™.”

Given my past history with supplements and my lack of commitment to them I was sceptical but wanted to succeed with this because for years I’d struggled with acid reflux and Rosacea – for years I’d been convinced the two were connected.

Day 1 was super easy, just 1 teaspoon taken in a glass of water, it mixes well and isn’t lumpy like some powders and more importantly tastes really good.   I always take it before I eat in the mornings, but you can take it at any time of the day.

I have to say that I wasn’t expecting any results until about 3 months in but 2 weeks later I could really see the difference in my skin – I even had compliments saying that it was glowing.   On top of my skin looking better the acid reflux has subsided.

Two months later and I can honestly say that The Beauty Chef Glow is a miracle worker!  I’ve stuck to it religiously and haven’t missed a day and the results have been extraordinary.     My rosacea has gone, my skin is more even, plumper and just stronger looking.  So, does Glow work?  100% it does and I will be taking this for the rest of my life!
