Jack
He first burst onto our screens playing a Viking in the SKY TV series Vikings but it seems the Irish actor, Jack Mcevoy, has a lot more up his sleeve.

How did you get into acting?
Well I wasn’t good at much else, I liked the idea of not going to college for academic purposes, but to get creative.. from there I was hooked
Your breakthrough role was in Vikings, which is no longer on our screens, do miss it?
Of course, but sometimes it’s good to leave the past in the past. Rightly, we cannot talk about the future if you think about it. We can only talk about what we imagine or wish for, it’s two different things. But I wish for hope, that’ll do me I reckon..
What’s the weirdest thing you had to do in the show?
Well weird is a funny word, it’s relative. I guess it kind of depends what side of the cage you are on. I guess digging up a wax model of my late wife on the show is quite seemingly unimaginable.
Now you onscreen brother in Vikings is played by Elijah Rowen, who you went to school with?
It was more than a brotherhood on set from day one
Is it true you were rivals?
Ohhhhh yeaaah
How did you bury the hatchet?
A cold one, a nice pie and mash, a good mining of each others understanding
You played the bad guy in the movie The Rhythm Section but what type of role would you like to play next?
Something where I can play a great figure of history, a James Dean, a Bono
Is there a side of acting that you don’t enjoy?
The politics, the superficial aspect, the bad energies
Is there any role that you would turn down?
Something that I feel I couldn’t do justice for, other than that, I’m free of agenda

Something special.. mountain ranges and snow

Who is your celebrity crush?
I don’t know about the word crush, I like to meet ladies in person to sense their vibe and energy

What is the most interesting thing you’ve seen/read this week?
I spoke to two farmers today. They saw an eagle flying with a serpent clutched in its talons.
What’s the most useless talent you have?
You can make any talent useful, you just have to dig deep for form of reasoning
What would be a good theme song for your life and why?
Michael Bolton - old time Rock’n’roll, quite simply because I’m the ayatollah of old time rock ’n’ rollahhhh.
Do you speak any other languages?
I speak an encrypted tongue not many heads know about.
What is your favourite place in the world?
Any place free of agenda, any place filled with compassion, justice, community and joy.
3 things you can’t live without when you travel and why?
Optimism, tolerance and my tooth brush. Without any of the above things go south
Biggest regret in life?
Not understanding sooner that there can be little gain without some lose and little redemption without forgiveness.
What is the one thing that you wish you could do to look after the environment?
Inspire others to even do just a touch more.
Best advice you’ve been given?
“Everyday is a school day”.
What do you do to cope with stressful situations?
Some breathing techniques and surrounding myself with good people
