Do you get severe anxiety (like me) when it comes to buying “the perfect gift” for someone or are you normal? There are so many factors to take into consideration. Will they use it? Will it last? Will it match up to what they bought me? Not to mention how many gifts there are per year. Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries and the dreaded Valentine’s Day which has a whole other host of factors to consider! How long have you been together? What message are you sending? Gosh anyone else slightly sweating under the collar already??

Some believe that literally anything on earth, any object, any piece of trash, anything you find in a store, can be a perfect gift. What’s important is matching the right thing to the right person. I’m not sure if I’m there yet but I do know that gift lists really help me, they give me inspiration. A small concise catalogue that I can use to help, at the risk of repeating myself, match the right thing to the right person.

I don’t think we ever outgrow these, do you? Also, you can never have too many… perhaps don’t wear them all at once though. Coco Chanel once said “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take at least one thing off.” However, in order to take things off we need to have them in the first place. Accessories can make or break an outfit, they can also give a unique spin on a classic. A brand we’re slightly obsessing over these days is Hair Crystals.

Hair accessories are not a new notion but these gorgeous handmade ones have merged our 2 loves, crystals and hair accessories. We’re not saying we carry crystals everywhere we go but we do believe in their healing components and let’s face it they are so pretty. We never addressed Housewarming/dinner party gifts in the long list of occasions we are accustomed to buying gifts for. Yes we can always bring a bottle of wine or a bouquet of flowers but what do we do if we want something a little different? Introducing Objet Luxe. Hair and body

I can almost hear our hair and body screaming to be included and acknowledged in this list! What a perfect time to talk about Fable and Mane. We were lucky enough to meet the wonderful brother and sister duo behind this brand. Steeped in Indian tradition and history as well as Indian rituals the story and products behind fable and mane leave NOTHING to be desired. Using all their products in unison completely transformed my hair from the first wash. Their packaging and branding is so on point that anyone you buy this for will be blown away. Definitely has our stamp of approval!

Now to our bodies… James + Jake has been a favourite of ours for a while. Yes yes they specialise in men’s products but no joke I use them too. They smell divine and feel amazing on the skin so if you’re buying this for your partner you will benefit too!

They are a UK based men’s skincare line that prides themselves on clean and 100% cruelty free ingredients. In addition to this, all their packaging is gorgeous (great for gifting) and fully recyclable. Yay!

Finally nails! We are mainly including this brand because we can’t NOT talk about it. I think we can honestly say we’d be happy to receive this at ANY occasion. Hello Maniac!

Fashion

Let’s face it, none of us really want to choose between style and comfort. If it was up to us we’d rather have them both and that’s what Studio Èhr (pronounced Studio Air) has made possible. Founded in March 2022 Studio Èhr is the contemporary activewear label that creates beauty out of waste and creates versatile movement wear from recycled, non-toxic materials in an atelier in the heart of London.

With stylish, modern designs that can be worn from the gym to a girl’s night, (no joke, I do this almost every night out) the brand offers general and sport specific garments that have been expertly designed to not only technically support and enhance the body during exercise, but to transition seamlessly into street style too. The brand has created a supply chain that protects its people, celebrates their craft and ensures they can work to live, not live to work. Restoration: Studio Ehr’s biggest focus is how complex, multi-fibre activewear can be responsibly broken down and recycled. The brand currently works with Terra Cycle to take back any old & worn Studio Ehr garments and safely repurposes them. The brand is working on a long-term programme in collaboration with other partners to recycled garments entirely.
